Your help will make a difference
Through your help, we can help relieve the suffering and restore dignity to those in our care. Find out more in our Supporter Update and 2016 Christmas Appeal.
Every year, our medical and healthcare services help up to 3000 inpatients from all around Brisbane, Queensland and Interstate and this number continues to rise.
To meet the increasing need for our services initial planning is underway to fit-out levels two and three of the hospital, specifically for palliative care, chronic pain and rehabilitation services and programs.
Your donation will help us plan for the future, purchase vital equipment and support our established and emerging specialities and special projects – it is with your help that we continue to grow.
History and growth
Since starting as a hospice for the poor and vulnerable in 1957, established by the Sisters of Charity, the hospital has expanded to meet the changing healthcare needs of the community.
Today, we offer a range of highly specialised services including pain management, rehabilitation, palliative care, neurosciences and wellness management for people over 65.
Our medical expertise is offered with the kindness, warmth, compassion and exceptional patient care that we all deserve.
Helping the vulnerable
Care for those most vulnerable remains a constant focus. The hospital provides a medical and nursing service at Brisbane Common Ground, a supported housing initiative at West End, and is currently working in partnership with Micah Projects on a pilot project to enhance hospital discharge planning and ongoing support for homeless people.
It is through your support that St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane can grow and continue to meet the healthcare needs of the community.
